Complete list of Banned Drugs: Medicines In India till 2018: If you take one, beware

- Gazette notification by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare banned more then 300 medicines of fixed drug combinations.
- The Health Ministry banned 344 fixed drug combinations in 2016.
- Several common cough syrup solutions, analgesics and antibiotic combinations are included in this list.
- Fixed drug combinations are in the market to make more profits for companies and beat price control by government.
- As per the recommendations of 32nd Drug Technical Advisory Committee (DTAC) meeting on the 344 fixed dose combinations (FDCs) banned by Central Drugs Standard Control Organization, India:
- No new applications from this list of banned category shall be accepted for registration until further notice;
- For banned FDCs registered earlier than 31 March 2018, Import Authorizations shall be granted until the end of the product registration validity; and
- Detail evaluation of any FDCs beside the 344 listed FDCs shall be carried out in consultation with DTAC.
