They boarded the Shramik Special train from Ludhiana when the COVID-19 pandemic was in full force.

She was in the advanced stage of pregnancy but wanted to have a child on their home soil.

They wanted to leave from Ludhaina sooner but because of the lockdown, it was nearly impossible.

However, they were finally able to when the special trains were in action.

She began to have labor pain while they were still on the train.

The destination was still almost 100 kilometers away.

The pain was unbearable and he got panicked when he heard that there was no stop nearby.

They both were from Kahalgaon.

When Rajnish Bharti, another passenger and a fellow resident of Kahalgaon saw her writhing in pain, he immediately tweeted for help.

His tweet read- ” Sir, Piyush Goyal, there is Asha Kumari from my hometown Kahalgaon is suffering from labour pain.”

He gave details of the train and the coach number including the contact number of her husband. 

Within minutes of the tweet, district authories were alerted and arrangements for an emergency stop at Sirari station was made.

She was transported to Sadar hospital by an ambulance.

Inayat Khan, the DM was on call all throughout the night looking out for the her.

She took a breath of relief only after hearing that the lady had a cute little baby girl and both mother and daughter were perfectly alright.

Rupees 3,400 has also been transferred to their account under the schemes run by Bihar government.

He is still in awe of his new born and is grateful to everyone who helped him in receiving the greatest gift of his life.

Piyush Goyal, the Railway Minister is also happy and shared the picture of the new born on his Twitter account. 

The officials who arranged the medical facilities have been praised all around the country for their arrangements even during the toughest times.
