HIGHWAY ROBBERS COMMITTING ROBBERIES BY IMPERSONATING AS POLICE AND SALES TAX OFFICIALS ARRESTED

  • With the arrest of six robbers and receiver South District Police has busted a gang of highway truck robbers.
  • Mastermind is in world of crime since last 20 years
  • Looted property worth 12 Lacs, two police uniforms, arms and Maruti Van used in crime have been recovered.

ARRESTED ACCUSED

THE MOU

They stopped the truck and two persons who were in police uniform entered their truck from both the sides and asked for the documents. Thereafter, two more persons came out of the van and told to check their documents and if they resisted showing the documents they be beaten up. They all got inside the truck and started beating them. They forced them to sit on the back seat and show them pistol and knives and snatched their money and mobile phone. One of them started the truck and took them towards Bahadurgarh and on the way abandoned them in the forest area. They all robbed their truck loaded with goods and escaped.

Tempo loaded with 120 bags of plastic dana from Haider Pur to Dehradoon. When reached near Burari on Outer Ring Road, 4-5 persons in a Maruti van intercepted and asked for documents of Goods and overpowered the complainant. They took him to Bawana Area and threw him at a lonely place and fled away with his
loaded Tempo.

Truck loaded with 295 bags of Nut Bolts. When reached on Burari Red Light on Outer Ring Road, 4-5 persons in a Maruti car intercepted and forcibly ran away with loaded truck.

Canter was loaded with Shoes and 216 packs of Chemical. One of the tyres of the vehicle got punctured on GTK Road near Vill. Khempur. While they were checking tyre, 4-5 person in a Maruti car came there and introduced themselves to be from Sales Tax Department. They forcibly dragged them inside their Maruti Car and threw them in the fields of Singhu Village. When they returned from there, they found whole goods from their Canter stolen away

INCIDENTS

CASE 01.

On 22.5.2010, Sh. Krishan Kumar Gupta S/o Sh. Surat Singh R/o Saini Pura Rohtak, Manager in Aryavart Transport Company reported that he got loaded his truck from Rohtak and came to Delhi for delivery at about 12.10 AM.

When they reached near Metro Station Nangloi, one Maruti Van overtook them and signaled to stop by a person who was wearing police uniform. They stopped the truck and two persons who were in police uniform entered their truck from both the sides and asked for the documents.

Thereafter, two more persons came out of the van and told to check their documents and if they resisted showing the documents they be beaten up.

They all got inside the truck and started beating them. They forced them to sit on the back seat and show them pistol and knives and snatched their money and mobile phone. Accordingly a case vide FIR No. 180/2010 U/S 392/34/120B IPC PS Nangloi was registered.

CASE 02.

On 11.05.2010, Sh. Raj Kumar s/o Sh. Sat Narayan r/o Kaushambi, UP reported that he was taking Tempo loaded with 120 bags of plastic dana from Haider Pur to Dehradoon. When he reached near Burari on Outer Ring Road, 4-5 persons in a Maruti van intercepted him and asked for documents of Goods and overpowered him. They took him to Bawana Area and threw him at a lonely place and fled away with his loaded Tempo.

On his complaint a case vide FIR No 126/10 Dated 11.05.2010 U/s 382/34 IPC was registered in PS Burari Delhi.

CASE 03.

On 10.11.2009, Sh. Ram Shankar s/o Sh. Gauri Shankar r/o
Vardhman, Ludhiana, Punjab reported that while he along with his helper was on way to Kamla Market from Ludhiana in his truck loaded with 295 bags of Nut Bolts. When they reached on Burari Red Light on Outer Ring Road, 4-5 persons in a Maruti car intercepted them and forcibly ran
away with his loaded truck.

On his complaint a case vide FIR No 355/09
Dated 10.11.2009 U/S 382/34 IPC was registered in PS Burari Delhi.

CASE 04.

On 18.06.2009, Sh. Mustkim s/o Abdul Latif r/o Haridwar reported that he along with his conductor was on the way from Sanjay Gandhi Transport Nagar to Saharan Pur.

Their Canter was loaded with Shoes and 216 packs of Chemical. One of the tyres of their vehicle got punctured on GTK Road near Vill. Khempur. While they were checking tyre, 4-5 person in a Maruti car came there and introduced themselves to be from Sales Tax Department. They forcibly dragged them inside their Maruti Car and threw them in the fields of Singhu Village. When they returned from there, they found whole goods from their Canter stolen away.

A case vide FIR No184/09 Dated 18.06.2009 U/S 379/419/34 IPC Was registered in PS Alipur Delhi.


INFORMATION AND ARREST

On 30.5.2010, Inspector Jai Parkash, Inspector Investigation PS Vasant Kunj South, received an information that a gang of highway robbers involved in several incidents of highway robberies will come to find some receiver of looted goods and to Reece the NH-8 to commit such crime in the night at Vill Masood Pur, Delhi.

Immediately a team comprising Insp. Jai Prakash, Insp. Gagan Bhaskar, HCs Labh Singh, Harjeet, Bani Singh, Subhash, Surender, Ajit Constables Pradeep, Satbir, Ram Avtar, was formed to apprehend the criminals under the leadership of SHO/Vasant Kunj South, Sh. Devender Arya (IPS/Prob.) and under supervision of Sh. Mohd. Ali, ACP/Vasant Vihar.

The team so formed laid a trap in front of CNG Station at Mahipalpur Road and started checking vehicles by putting barricades. At around 2.20 PM, on the pointing out of informer, a Maruti Van No. DL-4CF-6899 was signaled to stop, instead of stopping it tried to flee away. But it was forced to stop by putting barricades. The car borne criminals left the car and tried to flee on different directions but the police party chased them and succeeded in apprehending all the six persons who were identified as mentioned above.

From their possession one Country made pistol and one knife was recovered. In this regard a case vide FIR No. 145/10 dated 30.05.2010 U/S 411/171 IPC 25/54/59 Arms Act has been registered at PS Vasant Kunj South.

INTERROGATION AND RECOVERY

On interrogation the accused persons have disclosed of committing the above mentioned crimes in the recent past. Subsequent to their disclosure, raids were conducted and receiver Bajrangi Yadav was apprehended. On the pointing out of accused persons, looted property worth 12 lacs (Door Fittings) has been recovered from the house of receiver and rented Godown of accused persons in Vill. Mungeshpur, near Bawana, Delhi. They have also disclosed about the theft of more than 50 Diesel Engines (of Tube wells) from the fields of Villages in Jhajjar, Rohtak and Sonipat, Districts of Haryana.
