पाताल लोक अर्थात जमीन के नीचे चलता ऐसा रहस्यमई संसार, जिसमें हजारों की तादाद में जख्मी रूहें बसती हैं। वे एक-दूसरे के कत्ल पर आमादा हैं, ऊपरी दुनिया में रहने वालों का खून पीने के लिए सदा तड़पती हैं।
इसी पाताल लोक अर्थात अंडरवर्ल्ड में बसते हैं सुपारी हत्यारे याने कांट्रेक्ट किलर। कुछ खुलेआम विचरण करते हैं, कुछ रहस्यों की धुंध के पीछे छुपे रहते हैं। अपने काम चुपचाप करते हैं, और गायब हो जाते हैं।
ऐसा ही एक किरदार मुंबई अंडरवर्ल्ड में ही है – शिवा।
स्ट्राईकर शिवा की कहानी है। एक दब्बू सा लड़का कब, क्यों, कैसे खतरनाक खूनी बन गया, यह जानना दिलचस्प होगा। शिवा जैसे किरदारों और उनके संसार ही शब्दों में उकेरे हैं।
अंडरवर्ल्ड का खतरनाक शूटर शिवा, जो चाकू-तलवार-गुप्ती-पिस्तौल-बंदूकें चलाने में माहिर है। अंडरवर्ल्ड में उसके पहुंचने और दुस्साहसिक कारनामों की दिल दहलाने वाली दास्तान है – स्ट्राईकर।
शिवा की अंडरवर्ड डॉन, पुलिस, पॉलीटिशियन, उद्योगपतियों के बीच कैरम के स्ट्राईकर जैसी जिंदगी हो चली। वह सबके हाथों खेलता है। अपनी जिंदगी जीने के लिए वह दूसरों की जिंदगी छीनता है।
शिवा का चाचा ही उसका सब कुछ है। यह बेजुबान और विकलांग चाचा ही उसकी जिंदगी बनाने – संवारने वाला व्यक्ति है, जिसे वह अपने माता-पिता से भी अधिक प्यार करता है। वह कैरम का उस्ताद है और शिवा उससे कभी कैरम की बिसात पर नहीं जीत पाता है।
शिवा के जीवन में कैरम बोर्ड के खेल वाली लाल रंग की रानी है, जिसका नाम प्रिया है। वह एक कॉलेज में हिंदी की प्रोफेसर है। हिंदी में अपनी लिखी कविताएं जब शिवा को सुनाती है तो वे शब्द और अर्थ तो समझ नहीं पाता है लेकिन यह जानता है कि प्रिया के मुख से निकला हर लफ्ज कितना कीमती है।
प्रिया से शिवा मुहब्बत करता है, जिसके साथ सुख के दो पल बिताना ही उसका ख्वाब है। प्रिया हर बार उसके प्रणय निवेदन पर कतरा कर निकल जाती है। शिवा न तो इस रानी को हासिल कर पा रहा है, ना कैरम बोर्ड पर पॉकेट में लाल रानी डालने की कोशिश कामयाब होती है। क्या शिवा कभी कामयाब होगा?
शिवा के साथ व्यावसायिक तौर पर जुड़ा है कपूर मेहरा। यह बुजुर्ग बेहतरीन शराब – सिगार और लाईफ स्टाईल का शौक रखता है।
बांद्रा के एक शानदार बंगले में अकेले रहने वाला कपूर मेहरा शिवा के लिए हत्याओं की सुपारी लाने और रकम हासिल करके शिवा तक पहुंचाने का काम करता है। शिवा के लिए काम लाने के एवज में वह सुपारी की रकम का हिस्सा रखता है। उनकी मुलाकात से बिछोह तक की कहानी में कमाल का रहस्य है।
शिवा की जिंदगी में अजब-गजब मोड़ आते हैं। कैसे और कब वह तय करता है कि अब इस गलीच जिंदगी से बाहर जाना है, यह हमें चौंकाता है।
स्ट्राईकर गिरोहबाजों के सुपारी हत्यारों की जिंदगी में झांकने का ऐसा मौका है, जो हर एक को नसीब नहीं। लेखक ने उनके मनोविज्ञान और कार्यों पर गहरा शोध करके यह कहानी लिखी है।

Shiva’s life is like a striker of carrom board, he is trying to pocket the Queen of the board but fails each time when he plays with his paralyzed Raghu Chacha. This is also reflecting in his love life.
He kills a well-known mill owner Suryavanshi on behest of mafiosi boss Danish Elahi and his righthand man Kasib Kovva for a price. Don made an offer to buy the land of Suryavanshi Mills for penny. Suryavanshi refused and furious Danish issued Black Warrant for him. He attacks him with his sniper but fails. Then Shiva used a unique modus oprendai. He fixes a bike with the road railing filled with RDX & one-inch-thick iron plate. When he triggered this IED, iron plate flies with the impact and hits bomb-bulletproof car of Suryavanshi. In no time, the car turns into expansive junk. Raghuvanshi is killed instantly.
Shiva kills powerful politico and filthy rich jeweler Rajabal Bhau in a safe and protected hospital.
He also kills the MD of AB Airlines Barakat Khan bulletproof car in a revenge killing for mafia.
Don Sudesh Manchekar is killed by Shiva breaking his bulletproof glass windows and throwing 3 petrol bombs in the running car.

Cracks deepens when Kapoor Mehra handed over the contract to kill blackmailer RTI activist Shridhar Murari. When Shiva killed him, he finds that Shridhar is not only RTI activist but a reporter with Marathi Newspaper.
Raghu Chacha and his nurse are killed in an attack by some armed goons. Attacker raped the nurse too. It is evident that attacker came to kill, not to loot the house. It is clear indication to Shiva that his cover is blown and it is time to know who is behind this. He catches the killer chef and house servant and kills them, then he picks up Guljari Lal and Manoranjan Banerji, who paid the money tot his chef and kills them too. He gets the name of next person but this chain is not reaching to an end. He puzzled and scrambling in the dark but no help.
Suddenly Priya is attacked. Shiva sends her and family in a safe house. Corrupt crime branch Insp. Mukesh Parab arrests Priya, her father Prakash Ray and young brother Priyam for hiding a dreaded shooter Shiva. Insp. Parab spits out name of infamous cricket bookie Sujan Kantawala, who paid him to arrest Priya and her family. Shiva pays him 1 crore to get this info as he had offered.
When Shiva trapped Sujan, he broke instantly. Shiva gets the name of master planner of all these attacks on him.
In the meanwhile, his informer Annu Jhumar killed.
Its high time now. Shiva goes to Kapoor Mehra and says that his plan is failed. Now he has to decide what to do. Kapoor kills himself using his handgun.
