Before the coronavirus lockdown, he had been an Englian teacher in a school.

When the nationwide lockdown was announced, his school was shut.

He had some money as savings but they were draining fast.

After a few weeks into the lockdown, he barely had money to feed his family one time.

He always believed that it was his duty to feed his family and he had to do something.

He went outside the house one day to see if he can work somewhere.

After wandering around for a while, he saw a construction site and decided to go and talk to the manager.

He accepted working as a daily wage earner for the well being of his family.

The next moment he picked up the mortar filler pan and a shovel and started working.

He works from 7 am to 3 pm everyday and earns Rupees 750.

It was a daily based work.

He is under a bank loan too and is worried about how he is going to repay it.

His name is Paleli Nithal Babu and is 55 years old.

He was an English teacher in Vadakara of District Kozhikode for over 30 years.
