Pune Gangland: Arrest of Two Suspected Members from Mumbai Gangster Fazulurehman’s Group

A crime branch team, under the leadership of Assistant Police Commissioner Sanjay Jadhav, swiftly acted on a tip-off to apprehend two individuals suspected to be associated with the Fazulurehman gang. The gang has a notable presence in Thane and various parts of Mumbai.

The arrests of Feroz Khan and Ahmed Jaffer were carried out near Shirin Estate at Lullanagar on a Tuesday morning.

Weapons Seizure and Suspects’ Identification

During the operation, the police managed to seize items from the suspects that included a Rambo knife and a country-made revolver.

These recovered weapons are now part of the ongoing investigation into the activities of the individuals apprehended.

Legal Proceedings and Custodial Remand

Following their apprehension, Feroz Khan and Ahmed Jaffer were presented before Judicial Magistrate First Class Shivajirao Gharpure.

The magistrate subsequently ordered that the suspects be held in police custody until July 28.

The legal process will now unfold as the police work to establish the extent of their involvement.

Extortion Cases Linked to Khan

The police have disclosed that Feroz Khan, one of the arrested individuals, is connected to as many as five separate extortion cases that have been registered within the city.

The details of these cases form part of the ongoing investigations into the activities of the suspects and their potential connections to criminal activities.
