Pune Gangland: Former Aide Allegedly Kills Gang Leader in Bhosari Over Tattoo Dispute

A disturbing turn of events unfolded in Bhosari as a former associate allegedly took the life of a history-sheeter, adding another dark chapter to an ongoing dispute rooted in a tattoo. The victim, identified as Mayur Haridar Madake (26), hailing from Markal Road in Alandi, met his tragic end on Saturday.

The assailants were reportedly linked to an old alliance under Madake’s leadership, with the tattoo bearing his initials marking the emblem of their association.

Tattoo Triggers Tragedy

The shocking incident centers around a tattoo etched with the letters ‘MM,’ signifying the initials of Mayur Madake’s name.

This distinctive emblem served as a symbol of allegiance to the gang he led. However, as disputes simmered beneath the surface, a significant twist emerged – the main accused, Mangesh Shukracharya More, who was formerly associated with Madake, grew disgruntled, and differences between them deepened.

Past History and Feuds

Mayur Madake, a history-sheeter with a criminal record that included seven serious offenses, including an attempted murder case, found himself embroiled in a tumultuous dynamic with his former aide, Mangesh More.

This discord escalated as More was briefly incarcerated for his involvement in a robbery and subsequently released on bail.

His belief that Madake had failed to assist him during this period heightened the animosity between the two.

Violent Confrontation

As animosities festered, the dispute reached a tragic climax on Saturday. Mangesh More, accompanied by a group of individuals, initiated a brutal attack on Madake in the presence of alcohol and sharp weaponry.

This violent encounter resulted in Mayur Madake’s untimely demise.

Apprehension and Investigation

Law enforcement swiftly intervened, apprehending a total of seven suspects, including Mangesh Shukracharya More, Roshan Hari Savdatkar, Pranesh Chandrakant Ghorpade, Shubham Balram Wani, Vaibhav Tanaji Dhore, Amit Subhash Shekapure – all local residents of Bhosari – and Shubham Ajay Bansode of Bhavani Peth.

Their arrest took place along Pune-Solapur Road and they subsequently faced court proceedings, where their history as known lawbreakers was highlighted. The court granted a five-day police custody for further investigation into the matter.
